Cattle futures are turning lower in early overnight trade with moderate to strong losses seen in both live cattle and feeder cattle trade. This pullback is not totally unexpected as traders are expected to be squaring positions following the holiday break, although the overall longer-term tone of the market has not changed. Lean hog futures are trading mixed, but are likely being heavily influenced by the pressure in cattle markets early Tuesday. Corn futures are trading higher in early electronic trade.
