GENERAL COMMENTS

Lack of follow-through support in cattle futures is creating additional weakness through the complex. Early feeder cattle losses of $1 to $2 per cwt are creating a bearish tone over the entire complex just before opening bell. Lean hog futures are mixed in light trade, with deferred futures continuing to lead the way lower. Corn futures are trading mixed in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading mixed. Dow Jones Index is 19 points lower, while Nasdaq is up 3 points.
