GENERAL COMMENTS

Strong gains continue to develop through the cattle complex with feeder cattle futures leading the way once again. Nearby feeder cattle futures are holding strong triple-digit gains ahead of opening bell with the expectation that additional volume will flock to the market through the morning. Lean hog futures are mixed early Thursday with traders uncertain if active buyer support will redevelop before the weekend. Corn futures are trading mixed in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading lower. Dow Jones Index is 117 points lower, while Nasdaq is down 30 points.
