OMAHA (DTN) -- Strong gains in live cattle futures continue to hold as the closing bell approaches. Traders are making last minute adjustments in front of the Cattle on Feed report, which will be released at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon. Front-month September feeder cattle futures have bounced from moderate losses to a 45 cent gain late in the day, bringing some stability to what has been a volatile market ride over the last couple of weeks. Lean hog futures remain mixed with nearby contract pressure being offset by buyer activity in deferred contracts.
