OMAHA (DTN) -- Live cattle futures have exploded higher at midday following renewed buyer support in the feeder cattle market. June and August live cattle futures rare holding gains of $2.80 per cwt, with a move to the daily limit of $3 per cwt a strong possibility given the aggressiveness of the recent price surge. Little additional direction has developed midday in cattle markets, which is allowing traders to once again focus tight supply concerns and the potential to sustain steady to higher cash prices.
