GENERAL COMMENTS:

From Friday to Friday livestock futures scored the following changes: Jun LC, Up 4.70, Aug LC, Up 4.80; Aug FC, Up 7.45; Sep FC, Up 7.73; Jul LH, Up 3.08; Aug LH, Up .67. The cash cattle trade exploded higher today as short-bought packers rushed to gather immediate slaughter needs. Live business in the South ranged from $154 to $155, $4 to $5 higher than last week.
