GENERAL COMMENTS:

According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed $2.40 higher compared with the Prior Day settlement ($119.47 to $128.00, weighted average $126.56). Corn futures closed lower, down 1 1/2 in the July, down 2 1/4 in the September and down 1 3/4 in the December.
