GENERAL COMMENTS:

Light to moderate business developed in parts of cattle feeding country as some beef producers responded to higher packer bids. Live cattle trade deals in the South were mostly $3 higher at $148. Live business in the North was mostly marked $150, $3.50 to $4.00 higher than last week's weighted average basis Nebraska. Some dressed sales in Nebraska and Iowa were made at $238, nearly $6 higher. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base is $1.02 higher, compared with the prior day settlement ($111.50 to $117.50, and weighted average $116.66). The corn market closed generally ...
