Don Mertz is spinning in his grave. If only he had an order.

I don't mean to be disrespectful to this long-gone commission hound. In his day, Don was a great friend to our family and a keen judge of cattle flesh. Those were two reasons why "Mertzie" always carried a standing order from Harrington Feed Yards for a pot or two of yearlings, just in case he should stumble upon something "he liked."

The other reason had to do with his thoroughly conservative nature. Dad would often joke about "turning Mertz loose," knowing full well that even if "MO80" ...
