OMAHA (DTN) -- Fresh off a victory to keep the Renewable Fuels Standard in place, the U.S. ethanol industry faces a number of market and political challenges heading into 2013. The industry sits in a position similar to the start of 2012, when falling demand for gasoline drove down ethanol demand.

Although EPA rejected a proposed RFS waiver, there are rumblings in Congress aimed to alter or eliminate the law.
