LANGDON, Mo. (DTN) -- "Rain, rain, go away," a well-known Mother Goose nursery rhyme, has older versions dating back as far as ancient Greece. Most family farms don't go back that far, but there have probably been times in recent weeks that modern farmers have repeated that same line. Even though View from the Cab farmers Karen Johnson of Avoca, Iowa, and Jamie Harris of Madison, Fla., have both seen detrimental effects from heavy precipitation and storms, neither is ready to throw in the towel.
