OMAHA (DTN) -- As if 2013 wasn't already a year of potential consequences for U.S. farmers on the environmental front, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson announced her resignation Dec. 27 and agriculture is watching to see who the president selects to head the agency.

Reuters reported at the end of December that Deputy Administrator Bob Perciasepe would take over for Jackson on at least an interim basis and may be the administration's choice to take the reins permanently.
