DECATUR, Ill. (DTN) -- New three-trait-pyramided technologies aimed specifically at controlling above-ground pests are headed to the cornfield. The products will give more options to growers that need to control lepidopteran pests, but don't need rootworm protection.

Foliar feeding, stalk boring and ear feeding corn pests are the target of DuPont Pioneer's new Optimum Leptra. Ryan French, senior marketing manager-technology launch, said the broad-spectrum protection against above-ground pests comes with multiple modes of action for enhanced trait durability.
