LANGDON, Mo. (DTN) -- Great plans can fill a book, or be as small as a thought. But one thing all successful farmers have in common is planning. That is especially true for View From the Cab farmers Karen Johnson of Avoca, Iowa, and Jamie Harris of Madison, Fla.

For Jamie in Florida, the plan lately has been to finish planting peanuts, spray for sweet corn ear worms, plant soybeans, spray field corn and forage sorghum, and irrigate, irrigate, irrigate. But there are always things that can't be prepared for.
