LANGDON, Mo. (DTN) -- "Cool" was the word of the week in agriculture this past week. It's the acronym for Country of Origin Labeling, the U.S. food identity preservation program. COOL has been challenged both for stringent regulations and compliance with free trade rules. Cool also describes the unexpected and unseasonable weather conditions faced by DTN View From the Cab farmers Kane Bercaw of Union City, Mich., and William "Shep" Sheppard of Louisiana, Mo., the past few days.
