World ammonia prices moved lower through November as Yuzhnyy prices dropped from $415 to $425 mton early to $385 to $395 late. Imported ammonia contract prices into Tampa dropped from $480 mton in November to $450 for December. World DAP prices remain soft at best, which is keeping a lid on new demand for ammonia. While the U.S. corn plowdown market has been strong, fall direct ag application demand is clearly past its peak. For the short term, we expect world ammonia prices to run flat to lower.
