DTN Midday Livestock Comments

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Aggressive losses are seen in the entire livestock complex with $2 per cwt and greater scattered through both cattle and hog markets at midday. October contracts are holding limit-down losses of $3 per cwt while nearby cattle contracts are trading $2.50 to $2.65 per cwt. Corn futures are lower at midday. September corn futures are 2 cents per bushel lower. Stock markets are lower in light trade. The Dow Jones is 2 points lower while Nasdaq is down 9 points.
