GENERAL COMMENTS:

Beef processors have turn aggressive buyers of live cattle this morning, jumping live bids by as much as $3-$5 and understandably attracting significant selling interest. Moderate to active business is evident in the South where most deals are marked around $133, $3 higher than last week. Yet some steers and heifers in Texas have sold as high as $134. Dressed biz in the North is tagged $212-213, $5-6 greater than last week's weighted average basis Nebraska. Live sales in the North range from $135-136, $4.50-5.50 higher than Nebraska's weighted average for last week. According to the midday report, ...
