GENERAL COMMENTS:

Pressure is seen in lean hog futures through the morning Wednesday with moderate losses holding as traders focus on hogs being readily available to packers and growing concerns about pork demand. Cattle futures are mixed in a narrow range at midday. Corn futures are higher at midday. December corn futures are holding 5 cent gains. Stock markets are lower in light trade. The Dow Jones is 90 points lower while Nasdaq is down 33 points.
