DTN Midday Livestock Comments

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are mostly higher late Friday morning with traders focusing on potential of firmer cash cattle prices at the end of the week. Expected short term supply market losses in the afternoon hogs and pigs report is drawing nearby futures higher. Corn futures are lower at midday. September corn futures are holding 1 cent losses at midday. Stock markets are lower in light trade. The Dow Jones is 75 points lower while Nasdaq is down 2 points.
