DTN Midday Livestock Comments

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Mixed trade is seen through the livestock complex Tuesday morning. Moderate pressure seen in live cattle futures is being offset by gains across the feeder cattle and lean hog complex. Trade activity will likely remain sluggish through most of the afternoon. Corn futures are lower at midday. September corn futures are holding 9-cent losses at midday. Stock markets are lower in light trade. The Dow Jones is 113 points lower while Nasdaq is down 51 points.
