General Comments:

Corn closed down 4 1/2 cents in the September and down 4 3/4 cents in the December. Soybeans closed down 9 1/2 cents in the August and down 23 1/2 cents in the November. Wheat closed 4 cents higher in the September Chicago, 7 cents higher in the September Kansas City, and steady in the September Minneapolis.

The September U.S. dollar index is 0.15 lower at 81.37. December gold is up $12.10 at $1,294.90 while September silver is down 0.04 and September copper is down $0.0120. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is 39 points lower at 16,524. September ...
