General Comments:

Corn closed down 1 cent in the September contract and down 1 1/4 cents in the December. Soybeans closed up 6 1/2 cents in the August contract and up 8 1/4 cents in the November. Wheat closed down 2 cents in the September Chicago contract, down 3 cents in the September Kansas City, and down 1 1/4 cents in the September Minneapolis. The September U.S. dollar index is up .04 at 80.95. August gold is down $13.70 at $1,291.00 while September silver is down $.61 and September copper is up .0590.
