General Comments

U.S. stock markets are narrowly mixed. Interest rate products are lower. The dollar index is 31 lower. Energies are higher with crude up .70. Livestock trade is higher. Precious metals are flat with gold up $2.

CORN

Corn futures are flat at midday with trade trying to stabilize after Thursday's break with support from strong exports. Outside markets are generally supportive with the dollar lower. Chart resistance is at $4.30, which is the 20-day with the $4.20 and $4.18 areas just below that as resistance. Ethanol production edged slightly lower, and stocks edged slightly higher.
