OMAHA (DTN) -- Agricultural groups pushing Congress to act on immigration reform are linking the increased consumption of imported food to the lack of U.S. farm labor needed to grow more labor-intensive crops domestically.

Americans are eating more imported foods than ever, according to a new study released Tuesday by the Partnership for a New American Economy and the Agriculture Coalition for Immigration reform. Agricultural groups held a press conference in Washington on Tuesday to highlight the report's findings.
