CFTC Sues Corzine, MF Global

OMAHA (DTN) -- Farmers and other customers who lost money in the MF Global collapse in late 2011 can finally expect to get full restitution after the company reached a settlement in a civil case being filed by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

The CFTC announced on Thursday that it was charging MF Global Inc., as well as former CEO Jon Corzine, with unlawful misuse of nearly $1 billion in customer funds. Also included in the enforcement action is a former assistant treasurer for MF Global, Edith O'Brien.
