LIMBURGERHOF, Germany (DTN) -- What is the biggest job on earth?

Markus Heldt, president of BASF's Crop Protection division, launched an international press conference Oct. 2 with this question in Limburgerhof, Germany. The company is headquartered in nearby Ludwigshafen.

The answer is farming or agriculture. And Heldt announced that BASF, a company that uses "The Chemical Company" for a slogan, intends to expand on its 100-year history to bring novel new products that go beyond traditional crop solutions.
