STREATOR, Ill. (DTN) -- Conway, Kan., spot propane values sank 95 cents in light trading Friday after jumping to a nearly $5-per-gallon value Thursday amid a supply squeeze exacerbated by extreme cold.

Heating demand is expected to remain robust for the next two weeks. The National Weather Service eight- to 14-day forecast issued Thursday, Jan. 23, for Jan. 31 through Feb. 6 calls for Northeast and upper Midwest temperatures 50% to 60% below normal with the Great Lakes regions plunging to 60% to 70% below normal.
