At a conference recently, I was asked to prognosticate about what agriculture will be like in 20 years. Rather than dream about flying drone tractors or an ethanol industry that uses superweeds for feedstock, I felt more comfortable making predictions that had some data and trends behind them. So I concentrated on yields and specifically international yields.
