SAO PAULO, Brazil (DTN) -- The prospect that commodity prices will remain around current elevated levels is enough to make fertilizer producers confident that demand will remain buoyant for the next five years.

The big question is supply. More specifically, how much new capacity will come on line?

Based on the number of projects announced, installed capacity to produce nitrogen, phosphates and potash will grow a lot faster than demand during the next five to 10 years.
