384 BPA Corn Wins

DECATUR, Ill. (DTN) -- Yes, there is a Santa Claus in at least one Virginia cornfield. David Hula, perennial winner of the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) yield contest, learned Thursday, Dec. 20, that his 384.3609 bushel per acre entry in the no-till/strip-till irrigated category won gold. Son, Craig Hula, also of Charles City, Va., won the no-till/strip-till non-irrigated category with a 308.9133 bushel per acre entry.
