Let's talk about pollination. Corn was planted two to four weeks late this spring. It's starting to pollinate in some areas and in others is still weeks away. That means the bulk of the crop is pollinating during some of the most potentially difficult periods.

It's the perfect time to remind ourselves that there's a lot going on out in that field this time of year. While it might not be the most comfortable thing to do, walking some fields now can tell you a lot about what to expect at harvest.
