OMAHA (DTN) -- Several wheat farmers told DTN they're concerned about the potential damage the discovery of glyphosate-resistant wheat could do to the export market but agree that it's unlikely much, if any, entered the export market.

"It'd be wrong to say I'm not concerned, but I'm anxious to hear what the research will show," Chester, Mont., farmer Janice Mattson said, referring to the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service's ongoing investigation into how the genetically engineered wheat got into the 80-acre field in Oregon. "I find it hard to believe that any quantity has entered the market."
