Foliar fungicide use in corn has become a more common tool for growers. Now manufacturers are looking into a new approach that would place strobilurin fungicide in-furrow either alone or with starter fertilizer to give seedling crops a boost. Bayer CropSciences, BASF and Syngenta are field testing the concept with promising results.
