OMAHA (DTN) -- Prices for the majority of fertilizers are increasing, according to retailers tracked by DTN for the first week of February 2014. Five of the eight major fertilizers had higher retail prices compared to the first week of January.

Leading the price escalation again is urea. The nitrogen fertilizer was 12% higher compared to a month earlier and now has an average price of $503/ton.
