WINNIPEG (Dow Jones) -- Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's Market Analysis Division released updated supply and demand estimates Thursday, estimating that 2014-15 Canadian lentil production would be larger than first anticipated.

AgCanada pegged 2014-15 Canadian lentil production at 1.735 million tonnes, up from their February estimate of 1.580 million due to an expected increase in acres. But production remains below the 1.881 million ton grown in 2013-14, as yields are expected to be smaller.

Exports, domestic usage and carryout stocks of lentils for 2014-15 were also adjusted slightly higher. Most other specialty crops saw either no change, or small adjustments compared ...
