Midwest Crop Tour - Day 4

ROCHESTER, Minn. (DTN) -- Scouts went into the Pro Farmer Midwest Crop Tour expecting to see a massive corn crop. Some felt underwhelmed -- they wanted to see a 300 bushel per acre corn yield. But withtop end samples in the 260 to 270 bpa range, it's still likely to be a record.

Richard Guse, a farmer from Greene, Iowa, said he struggled with trying to put this year's crop tour in context until he mentally compared it to what he saw in 2009.
