BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (DTN) -- With planting getting under way this week in the north, it appears likely that Argentina will considerably increase acreage.

But the decision has little to do with prices or margins for the 2014-15 season.

International wheat markets may have recovered from their January lows, but margins on the cereal remain very tight in Argentina.

Argentina's inflationary environment is pushing up costs, while its quotas and 23% tax on exports hold down prices.
