Kansas Water Vision Underway

LAWRENCE, Kan. (DTN) -- Despite some long-awaited sunshine in the Midwest last week, things looked pretty dark for Kansans in a small conference room in the fairgrounds of Douglas County on Friday.

Here, a dozen environmentalists and farmers peered through a dimly lit room at PowerPoint slides that highlighted the grim state of water in the Sunflower State. When the lights came up, so did the hands, as the attendees peppered Kansas state officials with questions and concerns.
