MARKET SUMMARY

Corn finished 2 3/4 to 4 1/2 cents lower, HRS ended 2 1/4 cents lower to 3 cents higher (September), soybeans closed 4 1/2 cents lower to 15 3/4 cents higher, and canola ended $3.90 to $5.40/mt lower.

OUTSIDE MARKETS

In midday trade, Canada's TSX equity index is trading 67 points higher at 15,625, with a narrowly mixed trade seen in U.S. markets. Canada posted positive economic news on Friday, with the country's second quarter GDP growth reported at an annualized rate of 3.1%, stronger than expected, and also the strongest quarter seen in almost three years.
