MARKET SUMMARY

HRS ended 1 3/4 to 5 1/2 cents higher, corn ended 3 3/4 to 5 3/4 cents higher, soybeans ended 12 cents lower to 5 cents higher,and canola closed $3.30 to $4.10/mt higher.

OUTSIDE MARKETS

In Thursday afternoon trade, the TSX equity index was 34 lower at 15,568, following weakness in U.S. markets and heightened tensions in the Black Sea countries. Canada's current account deficit narrowed marginally for the second quarter to $11.87 billion, while the first quarter deficit was also revised lower to $12.03 billion.
