MARKET SUMMARY

HRS finished 10 1/2 to 11 1/2 cents higher, corn finished 2 to 3 1/4 cents higher, soybeans ended 1 1/4 to 29 3/4 cents higher and canola clsoed $1.10 to $1.60/mt lower.

OUTSIDE MARKETS

IN mid-day trade, the TSX equity index was 23 lower at 15,533, with losses also shown in U.S. markets. The Canadian dollar was 4 basis points higher at $.9134 U.S., while the U.S. dollar index was .182 higher at 82.390. Canada's inflation rate for July was reported at 2.1%, down from June's 2.4%, while close to the government's 2% target. Gold was $5.70/ounce ...
