General Comments:

Corn futures closed higher on more export business announced to China for the new crop year which starts Sept. 1. Corn has been lower almost every day the past two weeks and traders took positions against the cheap prices and liquidated some of those, which also boosted prices. Soybean futures got a boost from new-crop sales of 360,000 metric tons for shipment during the 2014/2015 crop year. Weather so far this month is expected to remain benign for new crop soybeans.
