MONTANA TAKES ON THE MIDGE

Don't be deceived by the cute, perfume-like name of the orange wheat blossom midge. The tiny, colorful pest caused an estimated $1.5 million in damage in spring wheat fields in Montana in 2006, according to a Montana State University news release.
