Well, I'm still exploring Route 66 and had this great drive today from Flagstaff, Ariz., to Needles, Calif. The weather went from mild to hot as heck. After getting frustrated over dilapidated old buildings and lack of usable roadway on the way to Flagstaff on Monday, the drive on Tuesday was pretty amazing. There were sections that were wide open then other sections of the road were comparable to Maui's famous "Road to Hana." Right before really hitting the Mojave Desert leading to Needles was the old mining town of Oatman, Ariz., which is apparently known for its wild mules. ...
