Canada’s Dairy Supply Program a Roadblock to TPP Negotiations

Canada’s dairy supply management program is one of the hurdles in concluding Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations. The supply management system, in place since the 1960s, imposes limitations on production of milk and cheese, as well as eggs and poultry, by means of a government-provided quota to support prices.
