GENERAL COMMENTS:

Sharp losses are seen in the cattle complex with traders looking for additional direction. Feeder cattle futures are holding strong triple-digit losses in all nearby contracts, while front month live cattle are trending lower with a $1.65 per cwt loss. Lean hog futures are mixed in a wide range at midday with traders focusing on short term pressure while drawing support in deferred contracts. Corn futures are mixed at midday. September corn futures are 2 cents per bushel lower. Stock markets are lower in light trade. The Dow Jones is 125 points lower while Nasdaq is down 64 ...
