Morning CME Globex Update:March corn is up 2 1/2 cents, March soybeans are up 4 1/4 cents, and March Chicago wheat is up 5 3/4 cents. At 8 a.m., USDA said that 110,600 tons (4.4 mb) of U.S. corn were sold to Mexico and 160,000 tons (5.9 mb) of U.S. wheat were sold to unknown destinations for 2014-15. The U.S. winter wheat crop is attracting attention early Monday with temperatures below zero as far south as Oklahoma and increasing winds in the western Plains later this week.
