OMAHA (DTN) -- Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow is putting pressure on House leaders to start conference talks on the farm bill.

Stabenow, a Democrat from Michigan, said in a press call Monday she is concerned about delays in conference talks between the House and Senate over differences in their legislation. Stabenow called on House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, to send the Senate the House version of the bill passed last week. "We can't go to conference without something from the House, some part of the farm bill. They have to send us something."
