Appropriations Bill Agreement Reached

WASHINGTON (DTN) -- Congressional appropriators reached an agreement Monday on an omnibus appropriations bill to fund the government for the rest of fiscal year 2014, including a section for the Agriculture Department and related agencies.

The House and Senate are expected to approve it this week. The current continuing resolution expires Wednesday, and the House is expected to approve Tuesday a three-day extension of that resolution that will allow Congress to complete the appropriations process without a government shutdown.
